Using the optical heart rate sensor, the watch analyzes blood vessel response over 30 days to detect possible high blood pressure patterns. Users receive an alert and can then log seven days of blood pressure readings using a cuff to assist with diagnosis.
Sleep Apnea Detection
The accelerometer detects small wrist movements associated with breathing interruptions during sleep. After 30 days of data, the watch notifies users if signs of sleep apnea are present.
Other Health Sensors
The Ultra 3 includes ECG, blood oxygen monitoring (limited in the US due to patent disputes), temperature sensing for ovulation estimates, fall detection, and crash detection.
